Unhinged Thoughts & Updates
We are officially one month away from the release of Shadows of Redemption and I am equal parts excited and terrified.
This book is darker, more emotional, and takes Silver somewhere completely new.
I cannot believe we are this close already.
October 31 needs to hurry up. 🖤

The cover is finally here and I am obsessed with it.
It turned out exactly how I pictured it in my head, which honestly never happens.
Now that I have it back, everything suddenly feels very real.
We are officially getting close. 🖤
Book 2 Is Finally Edited
IT IS DONE.
Well... almost.
I finally got Shadows of Redemption back and the editing is officially finished.
Which means I am currently in that weird little stage where the book is done, but I am still staring at the calendar like COME ON ALREADY.
Right now I am waiting on the cover.
That is it.
The edits are done.
The story is done.
The emotional damage is done.
Mostly.
Once that cover lands in my hands, it is basically go time.
And I am so freaking excited for you guys to finally get this one.
Book 2 is darker, heavier, more emotional, and it takes Silver somewhere completely different from Book 1.
There were parts of this book that were hard to write.
There were parts that were hard to read back.
And there were definitely moments where I wanted to scream at my own characters.
So yeah.
We are close now.
Very close.
I am just waiting on that cover...
and then it is time. 🖤
Stay spooky, my little sinners.
Apparently I’m Everywhere Now
Well.
I did a thing.
Actually, I did several things.
The social media pages are officially up and running, which means the Shadows Saga has escaped my computer and is now wandering around the internet causing problems.
You can now find me on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and YouTube.
Which sounds very organized when I say it like that.
It is not.
I am basically figuring all of this out as I go.
Some places will have book updates, some will have spooky posts, some will have random author thoughts, and I am sure at least one of them will eventually contain me yelling about fictional people like they personally offended me.
Probably all of them, actually.
I wanted different places where readers could follow along without every platform feeling exactly the same.
So there will be little differences depending on where you find me.
Book stuff.
Behind the scenes chaos.
Random horror.
Characters.
Updates.
And whatever else my brain decides belongs there that day.
If you follow me on any of them already, thank you.
And if you somehow end up following me everywhere...
I hope you enjoy seeing me slowly lose my mind in multiple locations.
Stay spooky, my little sinners
Let’s Talk About Silver
I probably should introduce the woman responsible for most of my problems.
Silver.
She is sarcastic, stubborn, emotional, reckless when she feels cornered, and somehow still manages to keep going even when everything around her goes completely to hell.
So basically she is a delight.
Writing her was interesting because I did not want her to feel like one of those perfect main characters who always says the right thing, makes the right choice, and somehow looks amazing while doing it.
Absolutely not.
Silver screws up.
She gets angry.
She makes choices based on emotion.
She trusts people she probably should not trust.
She pushes people away.
Sometimes she is strong and sometimes she is barely holding herself together.
That is what I love about her.
She feels human even though she very much is not.
There are definitely pieces of me in her too, which is probably why writing some scenes felt a little too personal at times.
I am not saying which parts.
Mind your business.
What I can say is that her story is nowhere near finished.
Book one is only the beginning of what I have planned for her, and I am probably going to make her life much worse before it gets better.
Sorry, Silver.
Actually no.
I am not sorry.
Stay spooky, my little sinners. 🖤

So... What Happens After You Publish a Book?
Apparently publishing the book was not the end.
Rude.
I think part of me thought I would finally hit publish, breathe, celebrate, and then magically know what I was supposed to do next.
Nope.
Now I have to talk about the book, post about the book, convince people to read the book, answer questions about the book, and somehow not annoy everyone by constantly yelling HEY I WROTE A BOOK.
It is a weird little balance.
I am still ridiculously excited that Shadows and First Blood is out, but now I get why authors are always talking about how much work happens after release.
The writing part is only one piece of it.
Now I am figuring out the social media side, trying to get the book in front of new people, watching for reviews, and pretending I am totally normal every time someone tells me they started reading it.
I am not normal about it.
At all.
There is also this strange feeling of realizing the story does not belong only to me anymore.
People are meeting Silver.
They are meeting Travis.
They are forming opinions about characters I have had living in my head forever.
And that is honestly kind of terrifying.
But also really freaking cool.
So for now I am learning as I go, trying not to overthink every little thing, and already thinking way too much about what comes next.
Because yes.
There is more coming.
Of course there is.
I did not cause all this chaos just to stop at one book.
Stay spooky, my little sinners. 🖤
I’ve pretty much been writing stories since I was a kid. Funny enough, I always thought I’d end up writing movie and TV scripts, not novels.
Shadows and First Blood started about five years ago when I was just playing around with ideas. I never really thought anything would come from it. It was my boyfriend, Skyler, who gave me the confidence to finally take the chance and publish it.
A lot of this story is more personal than people probably realize. Every character is based, at least partly, on someone I know or have known. The names are changed, obviously. Some people in my life know exactly who inspired certain characters. Others have absolutely no idea, and I think I’ll keep it that way. 😂
Parts of Silver’s story also came from things I went through myself. I had been in a bad relationship, and writing became one of the ways I worked through some of the anger and other shit that came with it. I could take pieces of what I experienced, twist them into something fictional, and finally be the one controlling how the story went.
And really, how do you kill an ex legally?
You write him into a book. 😂🖤
What started as me messing around with an idea eventually became an entire world, and somehow that world became the Shadows Saga.
I Actually Wrote a Book
So... I wrote a book.
Like actually wrote one.
And now Shadows and First Blood is out there for people to read, which is exciting and also mildly terrifying because apparently I thought letting strangers into my brain was a good idea.
This story has been living in my head for what feels like forever. Silver, Travis, all the supernatural chaos, New York, the bookstore, the blood, the heartbreak... all of it.
And now it is real.
I can actually say I am an author, which still feels weird as hell.
I am not going to pretend the whole process was smooth because it absolutely was not. There were parts I loved, parts I hated, parts I rewrote way too many times, and moments where I definitely questioned why I was doing this to myself.
But I did it.
That is the part I keep coming back to.
I actually finished the damn thing.
And this is only book one.
There is so much more coming with Silver and this world, and if you think things are messy now... just wait.
If you picked up the book, shared one of my posts, told someone about it, or even just cheered me on while I was losing my mind writing it, thank you. Seriously. It means more than you probably realize.
Anyway, welcome to the beginning of the Shadows Saga.
This should be fun.
And probably bloody.
Stay spooky, my little sinners. 🖤
